Thanks Rod! It looks like someone if overlooking us?

Very good Lee you caught the rays really well. Great shot mate.

thanks Mary Ann and Jano!
Mary Ann, instead of BW it looks brown. But the sign is a nice burnt red.

This is great, Lee. A very cold tone to it which may lend more view of the sunlight streams in the foreground? I think I would try to darken up the sign itself just ever so slightly and maybe play with the shadows as well. jano

Very nice, Lee. I love the sun streaming through the trees. The b & w works well, but of course I have to wonder how it looks in color.

Sharon, It is growing on me. 8-)
CJ, I hate to disappoint. But you are looking at the overlook. It is just a ridge in the forest that is about 10' high. There is also a small stream in the distance that is visible.

Looks great now, Lee! It is amazing what shows up when you post a photo online as compared to what you notice while working in Photoshop. I have taken to posting my shots to my Pbase gallery before I post in the challenges because I was discovering so many problems after the shots were already submitted. ~Sharon

CJ, I hope you don't mind but I deleted your duplicate comment and your comment about it! ~Sharon

I really like the streams of sunlight coming over the sign and it has kind of a misty look to it all too that is interestig. I can only wonder though "What could this possibly be an overlook to?" The forest? I thought there might be a distant view to see so this sign seems a little incongruous. Tell me, inquiring minds want to know :-) CJ

Sharon,
Believe it or not, I originally cropped it 2x3 from the 3x4 format. Then decided to change it back. I like the 2x3 format, well at least for now. 8-)
I also go rid of the sun spot. Did not notice that also until posted to the web.

This is a hard image to overlook, Lee! I love the sun streaming through the trees and the mist! The dark spot in the middle of the trees is a bit distracting and easily cloned out. Also, I am not sure about the hot spot top center, I would be tempted to crop the top a bit lower. Still a lovely shot! ~Sharon
