The Fly

My Railing, NJ

A fly sitting on my railing. Used a 250d and 500d close up stacked. a 550ex flash, set to M 1/16th I think. set to about 75 degrees, with a Stofen Omniboune. The settings were manual, so I can use flash and a f8 DOF. The top views came out the best, but the DOF usually falls a little short. The bulk of the fly is clear though.

The depth of field is perfect. The details/definition and bright eyes are great. While I would prefer a more natural background, this is a super shot.
