27-JUN-2005 Humberto Olarte Cupas (Nugar)

HOBO *

Gamboa, Panama

This image is part of the 300+ I took at today's shoot with "Eve" (I'll call her that until she authorizes me to reveal her real name).

We both learned a lot and had a lot of fun.

0691 (jumping in air-2nd) with a crop similar to your entry shot, would have been my choice for the album cover. its filled with energy and life, shows love for music...makes me wanna learn guitar to have fun like that. on the other note, i loved the way you have got her hair in 0704. shot is filled with emotions. it was overall a very nice shoot. even the place looks very beautiful/peaceful. thanks for sharing this with us Nugar. i appreciate it. -Abstract

Thanks Rod, yes it was an overcast day, we even got some light drizzle. When we finally entered the jungle, the humidity was terrible. Even the 20d's joystick malfunctioned.

This has a really nice look to it, looks like the nice colours of an overcast day. I quite like the look of the guitar as is. Good shot Humberto.

Ok, let's see if this works. Go tohttp://nugar.com/gallery/index.php and login as user CTF pass CTF The Gamboa Shoot album should appear. BTW, to login you need to hover the mouse over the Admin link on the left side menu. The login link will appear on the page header.

Please be aware that the pictures are almost as they came out of the camera, and that they have been resized carelessly with a batch action. Comments are welcome.

Ooops, by the way I showed the images to the model a couple of hours ago and forgot to ask her if I could reveal her name... She liked the images very much :o)
Nugar29-Jun-2005 02:53
Sure enough, I'll run right now a batch action to resize them and will post the link right here when I upload.

Nugar, please give us the link, when you upload photos from this shoot. thanks. -Abstract

Actually, I have a couple that are somewhat like that. All in all, I took about 140 images on the tracks, including several positions of the guitar, walking towards the camera, jumping, etc.
ctfchallenge28-Jun-2005 15:03
you know what would be really coooool. a shot at exact position, guitar on her shoulder(grabbed from the top end) , she walking just like this, and looking back towards you from her shoulder (just a bit turn of head and only-one-eye contact with camera). i am sure somebody/somewhere must have done this...okay...back to work now. -Abstract

I agree with you there...as a photograph, her walking stance makes the shot dynamic and hair positioning is theoretically perfect. dont get me wrong, i mentioned guitar's prominency only because of the "music" theme of the photograph. -Abstract

Hmmm, I may have another shot where the guitar is with the top more visible, but here I like the walking stance of the model and the position of her hair.
ctfchallenge28-Jun-2005 12:43
Reminds me of the movie, "Desperado". i generally prefer to see guitar a bit more defined in this kind of photos though. nice shot nonetheless. -Abstract

Nice job! ~ Lonnit

You're quite right on both counts, lol. Yes, I took the guitar after your suggestion :o)

I told you that guitar would come in hand. I think she would like her real name told vs hobo. 8-) theFly
