Thank you Cat for your comment. i am surprised that why nobody else has submitted shots of this nature. considering Ioana has also included the "reflection of feeling" sort of interpretation in the topic, this type of shots works two-ways.
Ioana, i like your "window to the soul" thing. i always used to know it as "mirror of the heart", especially in a romantic way. i am glad you liked the photo and btw you almost made me blush with the eyelashes compliment :) -Abstract

In the beginning it also reminded me of Nico's photo, but this one has a very different feeling to it. Don't they say the eyes are a window to the soul, hence you can take thousands of pictures of eyes and they won't be the same because they mirror thousands fo different souls?
I like this a lot, down to the red veins - they give the feeling you really have been crying. And BTW, Abs, coming from a chick, you have great lashes ;-)

Great interpretation of the topic. Something I did not even anticipate for this topic. you have done a good job, Abs. -Cat

Paul,
i took this shot with my right hand. avoiding the reflection of camera was a bit difficult and S1 doesnt help much with focus at such wide aperture either. it didnt take many number of photos but i couldnt take more than 1 or 2 shots at a time because sun was very bright and i couldnt look at it for too long. i have number of shots with my eyes half closed. thanks for your comment.
Rod,
i always try to do something new that * I * havent done before and that is how i feel these challenges help me improve. this was a personal challenge for me, especially considering i wanted to get that double reflection in my eye with tears without any sort of studio set-up or post-processing. this shot conveys everything about a crying eye...tears, red veins, wet eyelashes...and trust me, shooting it was painful too :) -Abstract

This looks very similar to Nico Blue's shot of an eye with the white surround, I find it too wet & a little yuck to look at.

I think you're right in not cloning out the veins as i think that would look odd, it just makes me curl my fingers a bit, a touch of sqeamishness. Thanks for pointing out what you're looking at. I didn't realise it was your eye, did this take many attempts? I thought you might have employed a model:>)

Paul, i am standing in my apartment patio and looking directly towards the sun, so i got watery eyes but got veins with it too. imho it adds character, feeling so decided not to clone them.
you can see blue sky and some buildings in the reflection. bottom half is reflection of the reflection.
thanks for commenting. -Abstract

Great close up shot Abs,this is making my eyes water viewing it, i'm trying to get in really close to see what exactly the reflection is. I love the sense of the surface water tension in the tear but find the veins a touch offputting.
