Cat, the exposure looks right to me. As far as the shot goes, wonderful catch - looks like that gator is practically floating half-way up the wall of that storage house.

Does it look better now? -Cat

Yes, you are right, mate. I might try and tone down the brightness a little. I'll check the raw file to see, if I have enough to burn a little. It was hard to get a good dynamic range between the reflection in dark waters of a dark areas and the fully lit leaves on the trees. -Cat

They seem to have over exposed areas on my monitor, mostly in the green foliage.

Rod, Lizard is real. He/She had crawlled in right by the boat ramp. The building reflected is their office and storage for life jackets.
If you think they look OK then can't complain. Not much PS work done at all, except levels and USM: 300, 0.33, 3. No cropping. All the pictures had to be brought down to jpg 4 to get it under 150K. That has generated strange artifects all over the pictures and also lost the general smoothness. If its not noticable then I am perfectly fine withe them. I'll remove the note. -Cat

If the Lizard is real then you deserve some praise for this shot mate:-) What are the problems with your 3 shots Cat's? You say Jpeg compression, but look at all the wonderful shots here all compressed the same amount. The only time I've noticed any detrimental effects is when I play too much in PS & over process. What have you done to these?

My three year old loves this. he's not qualified to make that kind of judgement. Technically i guess there are aspects that could have been improved, but overall this is a wonderful capture. Well done.
