The relativity to the theme is questionable and open to interpretation. I see it as my two boys spending quality time together and reflecting on the good moments such as this.
Maybe a nostalgic type of frame would have added some legitimacy to it? :-)

Darrel,
This is a good shot, I like how the bright red hat makes the eye jump right to the subjects, and the boy having his arm around his friend (brother?) makes it really touching. I would say it's connection to the theme is quite tenuous, though... But since Rod's sunset was on theme last time ;-) .....

Darrel, as the bushes dont add anything to the shot, i would crop it out...so from the right side of the frame for sure. now to put the subject on 1/3 points, personally i would crop a little from the top to include reflection in the water to suit the theme more appropriately. if not for the theme, then i think it could be either way. you might want to include more water too, if you cropped it out from this version. -Abstract

Thanks for the comments. Abstract, how would you crop it? I was considering the boys more on the right side and may just do that.

very cute shot. i like it. just center-composition is a little uncomfortable for me. not a big deal though. -Abstract
