Hey Lucem - Thanks so much for your comments. You are so encouraging! Regarding lighting, I guess I'm learning to keep the flash OFF and try to find side lighting. The A60 has no custom mode. I shoot in P with the camera's settings. I sharpened a little bit in PS (unsharp mask at 75/1.5/1). Otherwise this is how the photo was captured. Look at this link to see the shooting conditions:

Chris, this is absolutely awesome!.
Do you mind sharing the secret. I'm curious.
I still remember the shot you posted long ago from your daughter.
Dou you shoot with a especial custom mode for you A60, any postprocessing or put the emphasis more in the lighting setup. If you are no a pro then certainly you are an artist.

Christina, If you have some other shots you like then you can replace it. But for fun leave it here & we can see how many votes each photo gets. If Daisy Duet gets more votes than Daisy dance then we're both going to be very confused:-)

Thanks for pointing out the angle, Rod. I have a hard time describing WHY a certain shot hits me. You seem to have a great perspective in being able to describe what you see in a photo & why it works or doesn't work for you. Do you think I should delete the lesser shot for the competition?

The Daisy Dance shot has a more intimate & romantic feel to it enhanced by the angle of the red flower being different from the Duet shot & the lovely lighting & framing. Even though the lighting is the same on the Daisy Duet shot by including the stems & glass vase I feel no connection to the shot. It has become just a very nice shot of two flowers. This doesn’t mean that you can’t get a feeling from shots with stems & vases, photography is like that. Some shots just have an indefinable something & Daisy Dance has that for me. I'm not knowledgeable enough to explain the technical reasons why Daisy Dance has feel, it's just that I feel it. Great shot Christina

Thanks Rod. I really couldn't choose between the two of them. Could you explain why you prefer the Daisy Dance shot?

This is a very nice shot Christine, but after viewing your superb previous shot there is no point posting this one. Two shots of the same subject rarely works & ends up detracting from the impact of both shots. It's always best to just pick the very best one & knock us all out with that:-)
