Maybe it's the light shining through the blue bottle... maybe it's the light gleaming through the oil... maybe it's the reflection. In any case, I like the photo a lot.

I admire photographers who have the imagination and skill to find beauty in the most unlikely places. Wonderful colors and composition. Great image. -Philio Vance

Thanks for the nice comments Shu, Nugar, Bill, Tracy, Debbi, Frank, and alexeig. It took a little experimenting before I could get the effect that I wanted. Frank, I increased the size a little bit. This is as big as I can fit it on my monitor. Thanks for the idea. Debbi, you are right, it is car oil. Nugar, the a80 is great but I sure would love that 20D!

WOW, great color and reflections. I have never imagined that a motor oil is so beautiful

Excellent picture, and great interpretation of the topic. Would you mind increasing the size a bit? I think you could go to something like 580 x 700 (or similar) without anybody complaining, maybe even larger, and it would add to the impact, I think.

The A80 seems to have a smootheness that I associate more with DLSR than P&S. Or is it me?
Nugar04-Sep-2004 01:16
I agree, beautiful image!
