Chinese bistrot in Geneva. I like the quitet atmosphere in the early evening, when nobody's come yet.

Hi. The food was yummy as always. Fried srimps in picant caramel sause, and Mapo-Tofu (Tofu soya cheese with meat and spices). The place is just around the corner from where I live.

Yes, the colors are softer and it feels more like early evening rather than the glaring light of mid-afternoon. Hope the food is as good as the place looks! --Mary Anne

Allright, here's a new look. The old one, for comparison, is here . The new one is less exposed than previous eligible, and a bit more exposed than the one you liked , so you can see much more details on the street, and I slightly lightened the interior with curves.

I also like the other one a little better. If you're not thrilled with the view through the window, maybe you could just take a few steps to the right, maintaining that nice diagonal composition but eliminating much of the window. You would still get a reflection of the street scene in the mirror in the corner, which would be an interesting touch. (I love mirrors and reflections in photos, but that's just me.) --Mary Anne

I have to confess I like the other one better. Seems more intimate to me. A little warming in photoshop can add to that, maybe with the shadows/highlights command and some yellow filter. It might be my monitor, though :)

Nugar, I've made several shots of this scene (while waiting for my takeaway) with different expositions. This one is with negative exposure compensation, but I like it less, because the initial idea was to concentrate on the interior mood and feeling. Exterior is just normal buildings, nothing exciting.

I like the diagonal composition, the rythm that the three chairs imply and the confluence of the diagonals with the vertical. (*) I'd say the window area is overexposed, to remedy this, you can point the focusing/metering area of your camera to the window. That way more of the exterior part will show. If your camera has a histogram, you can also check it to see how the light/shadows where distributed and make the changes as needed.
