Queenpost Kissin' Bridge 1877 *

The Codding Hollow (or Jahnes) Bridge was built around 1877 and is of the Queenpost type. At one time almost all covered bridges were thought of as 'Kissing Bridges" :-) I found this on a side-road in the mountains near my home in Vermont.

B&W expresses this very well. There's quite a bit of dynamic range, but love that I can see both shadow detail inside the bridge and the texture of the snow. A classic composition well seen.
