Thanks all for commenting. This is back lit with a small mag flashlight. The reflective surface a black piece of shiny tile that I picked up some time back. Background is the black material I use for my portraits. jano

Amazing. I can't stop looking at the surface where they meet. How does the reflection get its light but through the actual flower ... then how is the reflection so well illuminated?

What a great move to use back lighting, most of us would have lit these normally & we would have just got a pretty picy. This lighting gives it a real interest. I think I'm in the mood for a flower challenge. Excellent picy medear.
What a smart girl you are. I love the lighting here and how it's set off by the black background. I had my lights out and a reflective surface setup for an hour or so and it did nothing but get me frustrated. I couldn't snap anything original. -Doug
