Nice one Mary Anne! I've spent my share of time in a diner when in high school, hanging out with friends and drinking copious amounts of coffee, so this brings back fond memories for me too! :-) CJ

I think this is great! It is of interest to me as a 'classic Diner" so unique to US at least from my experience via movies!

In my visit to San Fransisco in 98, drove to Yosemite, got there just on closing so backtracked and stayed at a little Motel/Diner. It was to me at least, the classic diner with 'cubicle' type table/seat arrangement and listened to the conversation of a guy talking to his friend about a "Hownd Dooooorg" I knew then, that I really was in the U S of A? ;-)

Amazing how such things connect with one's experiences?

Thanks for the trip Mary Anne ~ Regards Bob

Thank you, Lydia and Penny. And even though they're very different, I find both of your styles and subject matter very appealing as well. However, I don't know whether being recognizable is good or just too predictable.

Mary Anne, I "connect" with almost every one of your images. We must be two peas in a pod.

Sorry. I wouldn't wish that on any one! *grin* ~Lydia
