Tears

Sixty six years after the attack on Pearl Harbor oil continues to leak from the sunken battleship, Arizona. The leak has been called the tears of the Arizona as the ship still weeps for the crew on board.

Thanks Julie & Bob. This was a very moving experience for Mrs. Pops. Her father was a Navy vet. He left the service in September 1941. Most of his crew mates aboard the Nevada were transfered to the Arizona. They visited the memorial in 1965. He knew way too many of the men still on board. Mrs. Pops says it was one of the two times she saw her father cry.

Very moving image Pops. A friend visited that site some years ago and described the feeling;... one he could never forget, nor should we? I have not been there but I suspected it was the Arizona before reading your text, such is the skillful way you captured this image. ~ Regards Melbob
