Looks like a music dvd cover or something. Very beautiful. Cindy

He does look like he is off in 'far away land'?

I like the composition.

It is amazing that it has lasted this long in the sea-air environment. I see the classic 'milky' effect that is a characteristic of the laminated glass screens in those older cars. The bonding material between the two glass laminates is of a cellulose composition and turns milky over time as UV light breaks it down. ( just a bit of useless trivia that my brain seems to be full of... lol)

Good one Elena ~ Regards Melbob

Thanks for the response, Elena. Your photos are always so good that I guess I'm just trying to pick your brain to learn as much as I can from you.

Thanks!
Mary Anne it is not a composite.I took this photo as it is (with Preston in the car). This old car is standing on the middle of the village on the connected island (Bullocks Harbour), under the Tamarind tree and some locals are using it for smoking (grass)...

Yes, the presence of the man adds a special dimension to the image of a rusted old hulk, and I like the desaturation. Am I correct in thinking that this is a composite? I'm asking because the area of the car in front of and behind him both appear more in focus than his face. Also, the light on him, esp. his shirt, doesn't seem quite consistent with the rest of the photo.

Super work, Elena... the photograph immediately makes me exceedingly curious: who is he? what is he doing in the old car? meditating? his home, perhaps? is this somewhere in a city? more rural?... as you can deduce, I find this most engaging! :-) Regards jnconradie
