Very 'arresting' image Vikas (... forgive the pun!) You have great skill in capturing the theme with simple but very effective 'props' Very well done. ~ Regards Melbob

Thanks everyone, appreciate your comments:

Thanks Lee and Nico :-)
Thanks Mark/Lonnit. Those metal looking things, as Michael kindly explained, are the wooden rockers on this rocking chair and the ends of that which appear thus, curving upwards. The legs are shorter than normal on this chair.
Thanks Elena (metal would have been great but have no idea where to look for a metal rocking chair). Thanks Cat, great to be back, been awfully busy with an exhibition in May and hence my absence from these challenges.
Thanks a lot Michael, appreciate your comments and for taking the trouble to explain the bottom of the rocking chair. Thanks.

PS: Mark, the person in the pic isnt' me and the legs are there but invisible as he was wearing a black pair of trousers :-)

Cheers, Vikas.

Well, Mark, I'll abstain on the leg question. After all, I am certainly the wrong person to be explaining why legs or arms appear/disappear in images {smile}. -Michael

Michael, thank you for clearing up the rocking chair legs "thing". It really isn't much of a distraction, I was just curious about it at the time. Makes sense the legs are shorter on a rocker. Now on a second look I'm wondering what happened to Vikas's legs (because they are not in view) he he. Markjay

Yes, very well done! Welcome back! -Cat

Very good indeed!
Professional image, great light and I like the idea!!
(I only wish that this chair would have a "stronger" character...
may be metal bars and/or not so colorful and beautiful (to go with the idea...)
Never the less very arresting image!!!) -Elena

Vikas, truly stunning, a wonderful piece. Mark, I believe you are simply seeing the back of the rockers on this rocking chair. The legs on a rocker are a bit shorter than a chair because the rockers curve upwards. -Michael

Fantastic! I, however, also got hung up on the legs and blocks, which completely distracted me from the wonderful rest of the image. ~ Lonnit

Great shot, Vikas! Great contrast and a unique take on the theme. One question begs.... what exactly are those metal (?) looking things on the bottom of the two chair legs? Also those chair legs seem awfully short for you! :-) Markjay

Super, Vikas. Tack sharp detail as always. The pitch black background is great. Well done! Regards jnconradie
