Doggie

Gamboa, Panama

I found this orchid at Gamboa Rainforest Resort. They have an orchid nursery there. After I took the picture, and downloaded it to my PC, I noticed that the center of the flower, from this angle looks like a dog's head. Or is it just me?

Quite the contrary, show her and then get her to pay for your travel here, so we can go and picture-hunt! LOL

Yes! It look like Dogbert, from "Dilbert", lol...
Excellent photo of this rather peculiar orchid.
I must absolutely not let my mother-in-law see it, or I'll be asked to fly over there to pick one up...

Now that you mention it...

Haha, thanks for reminding me, Nugar! I see that your pic is MOSTLY brown, green and white .. with a spot or two of pink. Around here, tho, again, its frozen mud, snow & ice, with a bit of frozen green showing thru. I'll have to get busy and take a few pix to see if I can't come up with something, cold tho it may be. Excellent pic, congrats. -mikey

You're right.. it does look like a grumpy little dog. Even from the side. Nice shot, thanks for posting. Orchids never cease to amaze me.

You mean its not a doggie with a pink nose and a really strange collar? Haha, cool shot, Nugar. Very colorful, nice bokeh and interesting subject. I'm going to have to make a special trip to town to see if I can't find some color. Around my place all there is is white, green and brown (snow, evergreens and mud). Cheers, -mikey
