I'm with Olaf on this - it's your shot and it's fun. The point of these challenges is more than mutual support and appreciation - it's also constructive criticism. If a forum member has sufficient technical ability to get what they want out of an image (and it looks as if you do) then it's down to critiquing the aesthetic, not the technical. Tim A.

Don't be sorry Pops - YOU are the only person who should decide what YOUR photos should look like! I like that it still has some of the dark edges.

I wasn't really paying attention to the edges. Has the picture been replaced with one with dark edges? If not, I think this is OK as is (doesn't need more darkness around the edges). -- Victor

I think it might add to the shot to have some of those dark edges visible. Perhaps you cropped too tightly? Perhaps a less central position of the subject would be an improvement to the composition?

I really like the peanut ones . . . Wish I could reach in there and get one. lol. the colors sure came through nicely with this technique - love the rich table in the background! Cindy

Victor, it was definitely painted with light and then the dark edges were severly cropped. Perhaps I should post and uneditted-uncropped view.

EV is 4.6 unless it was light painted, in which case it is lower.
