This picture reminds me of a story someone told me about a hotel in Houston. The person who told me the story used to bus tables there. The silverware on the tables was real silver. When it came time to bus the tables, the bus boys would sometimes throw the silverware down the elevator shaft. Decades later, the hotel was scheduled for demolition, and when my friend heard about it, he told someone in charge of the demolition about the silverware. They investigated and found a pile of silverware several feet deep. -- Victor
