So creative and so incredibly well executed. Talk about setting the bar high right off the bat.

Fantastic. The concept, composition, and toning are top-notch, and the light magenta cast (somehow) reinforces the surrealistic feel. Placement of the visible eye is perfect. One hell of an opener for the gallery. --Mr. Biscuit

I agree with Lonnit (Oh, God, did I say that?). I love the one wide/wild eye showing! This reminds me of the time my stepson calmly walked into the house and asked my wife: "Mom, do we have a fire extinguisher?" Now that got our attention in a big hurry! Wonderful shot and dead on target! Jim H.

I think it is most on-topic. This image itself is not necesarily chaotic in it's form, however, it is implying the chaos that is to come when that child lights that lighter. I'm picturing the chaos of the family scrambling to get out, the firemen scrambling to get in, the chopping with axes, the charred remains, the chaos in the lives of those who survive the fire. The mess left to be cleaned up, and the lives to be put back together afterwards. All that action, all that chaos, racing through my mind by a mere glimpse of this image. Again, I say, superb entry! ~ Lonnit

I like the image, I'm just still trying to figure out if it's "on topic" or not? I guess if you look at it from a Psych point of view, maybe this childs' world is so chaotic that he's doing weird things? Help? :-) I agre with Lonnit the colors and textures in the image work quite well together. Markjay

I don't know what to think about this....I'm still mulling...either off topic or the most on topic image ever...a wonderful image, but I'm thinking, (are we really inside a child's mind, seeing his perceptions instead of reality?) Best Wishes, Traveller

Ack...this was taken within the challenge period, but when I took it, it was still the 26th in my time zone. I guess I should change my camera to GMT. Thanks Lonnit. I think I will have to frame this one. ~Britt

WOWWWWW! This is fantastic!!! It really works that the color of the lighter is similar to the color of the wood trim on the chair. Great job! ~ Lonnit

It is pretty cool! I like it!

PS: You should change the date so it does look like you took the pic within this challenge time frame...
