Hah John!--Good one :). Dorys, the reddish brown thing in the background is the oak chair the bone is leaning against. For me, it is part of the image, as it helps give the impression of an eye (I think). I'm not sure what gray you're talking about. There is a bit of green fabric draped at the bottom (which the bone is resting on), is that what you're referring to? Thank you both for your comments! --Melanie

interesting subject melanie. nice job on the lighting. What is the reddish brown item behind the bone? I find it and the gray area on the bottom a tad distracting.
