Such a stunning shot Roberta. Now it's not fair that you have that wonderful lens.
Well OK maybe there is some/a lot of talent involved too. :-)

I'll just add my admiration to this shot. The catch lights and the eye-contact is first rate. Phil

While 135/f2 is considered an excellent portrait lens it could get tricky for headshots when its on a 10D. So, I have to give full credit to Roberta for mastering the art of achieving the perfect bokeh right from the prefect area of the subject. I feel honoured to have your masterpiece entered in this challenge! :) - Karthik.

Thanks for all of the comments. Olaf, this was taken in natural light indoors. She was facing a 9' wide triple french door, southern exposure. I processed in PS CS- levels, contrast and saturation +3%. Very little USM because the 135/f2 is very sharp. That's it! She is my friend's granddaughter and when she walked in the door, I grabbed the camera! She is such a cutie!

A really beautiful shot. :) Kudos! I'd like to see the pink taken out of the hand though, so it better matches the arms and face. I find that a bit distracting. About the whites of her eyes - is that a cast or natural? My neice had bluish whites just like that when she was a child. ~ Lonnit

Definitely has a Joe Reilly look to it - definitely! By that I mean to say, it doesn't get much better than this! OK, so you started this great shot by choosing the perfect lens, but after that, what did you do to accomplish this? Lighting? Post-processing? Care to teach us? --Olaf
