Great capture of the right moment. A bit of PS work lightening the shadows on the face would do wonders - very nice anyway.

Great shop, very sharp. I think you could do with lightening the face a little, but that's about the most critical I can get! Phil

Great shot. Its so full of detail! It freezes the motion perfectly. I love the sharpness and contrast too. Great work!

Regarding my 28-135 - it's the only lens I have, so it better work! I've rented an 70-200L, and was very impressed with it, but I'm plenty happy with the 28-135. Once I use Fred Miranda's CSPro sharpening action, the images look great to me.

As far as motion blur - I know what you're saying. Considering the title of the challenge, it would make sense, but I don't do much PS alteration. One of the reasons I like sports photography is the way it can stop time and isolate a split second of action. If I'd been shooting pole vaulters all day, I may have tried using slower shutter speeds to get a natural blur, but as you can see I was running out of light (and memory cards!).

Bee: Great shot. Had it been mine, I would have been tempted to PS in an arc of motion blur along the back of the vaulter, leaving the front crisp. Your 28-135 seems to be serving you well. Tack sharp. --Joe
