As The Parade Passes By *

Traralgon, Australia

Today is Anzac Day, the day the Australian community honours the men and women who fought in the wars. The lone rider represents the Lighthorsemen who died for our country in WW1. In the background, the parade of war veterans and their decendants are marching towards the local cenotaph, where a very moving memorial service was held.

At first glance this didn't really say motion to me, but the more I looked the more I noticed the movement! First there is the flag, but that could just be flying in the wind. The second thing I noticed is actually the strongest element of movement imo, namely the legs of old men walking along the side. They are almost in perfect sync - like a military march - I can almost hear the marching music! I have a different take on a parade back in the exhibition gallery of challenge 3: Film Titles:http://www.pbase.com/image/23121781. --Olaf.dk
