Very nice Danny, I had to drop down to 'large' instead of 'original' to avoid scrolling.
I reckon I circumnavigated the city by foot over a few days, wore out my shoes and my feet but loved it. Have to go back with my DSLR next time... so many wonderful sights.

A little background: I was on my way to Twin Peaks (the hill with the tower) looking to catch the building tops poking out With the setting sun, when I saw this view from the highway. Unfortunately, there was no place to stop and set up the tripod, so I grabbed the camera and shot it at f/10 ISO 100 @ 65mph. It's hard to time the fog at sunset.

I don't know if there are any other cities in the World where the fog is such a common guest as in San Francisco, so that alone makes S.F. a good guess of where this is taken. The Sutro tower takes it beyond any doubt. Interesting panorama of these two S.F. characteristics!
