Silver Link No 2509 was the first of the A4 Pacific locomotives to be built, entering service in 1935. Show here on her regular journey hauling the Silver Jubilee service between London Kings Cross and Newcastle, with just one stop, for 2 minutes in Darlington to allow the businessmen of Teesside to use the high speed service.
