Elizabeth was born in Bermuda where her father was in the Black Watch.

She was the wife of James Lamont who had a Riding Habit and Breeches Maker at no. 37 High Row, Darlington.

She died in Aberdeen where she went to be near her daughter Adelaide Lamont.

She is buried in Darlington's West Cemetery.
