a jumping spider is using exuviae as shelter

found a cicada exuviae on the underside of a milkweed leaf.
While examining and photographing it, a jumping spider appeared
in the split in the back and climbed out and got onto the leaf
next to the exuviae. Whenever it felt threatened, it would
retreat to the inside of the exuviae and then re-emerge when it
thought the coast was clear once more.

How cute! This would make a great "Natural Moment" for Natural History Magazine.
