Spilomyia sayi -- a wasp mimic fly

found on goldenrod along K&P Trail near Snow Road Station.
Approximate location: UTM 18T 0365570, 4980859.
I also photographed another on August 12, while on the Cataraqui Trail
near Indian Lake Road. Approx. location UTM 18T 0393768, 4936597.
It was seen on goldenrod in the company of various bees and wasps.

Yes, thanks! I am very pleased with it. I don't see that many wasp mimic flies and they are difficult to photograph as they barely stay still for more than a second, so it was nice to get a couple of good shots before it flew away!
