Ebony Jewelwing damselfly-- male

Calopteryx maculata

Along the McParlan House trail near Black Creek at Murphy's Point Provincial Park.
They could be seen in large numbers (dozens) all along the trail, perched on ferns,
low junipers, and on leaves on the lower branches of Sugar Maples (they seemed to
prefer the maples over other trees).
