This crab spider was on a blade of grass on a section of the Hemlock trail that runs along a ridge forested mainly with deciduous trees (Maple, Shagbark Hickory and Ironwood). There had been a major freeze-up and a bit of snow just days before, but on this day, the sun was shining and the temperature fairly mild.
