the chancel

Taken from the crossing, which, unusually, is well past the rood screen and very much understated (especially in comparison with nearby Ely). The chancel ends in the original monastic/romanesque semicircle, with ambulatory beyond, but topped by the later C14th clerestory and vaulting

A vault reaching almost to heaven, framed by you to well emphasize the point.
