timber chancel arch....

....and transition to 'wagon' roof by addition of diagonals to each rafter set (probably around 1800; there would have been a curved ceiling following the arched line, but it has been removed more recently.

The east windows openings (but not glass!) are Norman. At bottom right is the early C17th pulpit
