shoreline form and colour

I was pottering around in a couple of feet of water after a swim and noticed these refraction patterns, which I don't recall seeing before....add a bit of weed and rippled sand

Nikon D7000 ,Nikkor AF-S DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
1/350s f/6.7 at 38.0mm iso250 full exif
