Hello, this bird is (or was - I haven't been to look this year) a regular visitor and has been subject to some scrutiny, not least because there was some suggestion it might have been a lesser scaup (see www.chclub300.ch). It even appears in the hybrids section of "Les Oiseaux de Suisse" as a tufted duck-scaup hybrid. While this may be questionable (a tufted duck-pochard hybrid is another possibility), it is certainly not a throroughbred scaup.

Hello, in my opinion this bird is normal adult female Scaup A. marila, seen in this plumage from Nov to March. Aarno Salminen Finland
