THERE WAS A TV PROGRAM ON THE WAVERLY AND A GUY SAID THE MAN HIRED KIDS TO DO THE GRAFFITI AND TO JUST TOTALLY VANDALIZE THE PLACE THEN HE COULD GET THE INSURANCE MONEY SINCE HE COULDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE BUILDING.

Creepy! I think that they should NOT restore it because of the fact that its apart of its history. If it was just some fools breaking in and doing it then yah restore it but it was not.It was the owner trying to get it condemed and torn down. So it should stay. As for the picture itself I wonder what this was supposed to mean when they grafftied it? Wonder if it was just random or if it had any many or if it symbolized something.

I think the guy that welcomed the vandals in should have to pay for the vandalism rep[air, he can't help it if the building old and delapodated.

How can you think that the vandalism goes with the Waverly Hills sanitorium? The vandalism is disrespect. But, the place is very historical.

I AGREE ... restoration makes things to end up being what they are not .. but the vandalism .. much as its atrocious to see .. is part of the historical aspect when you think of it .. as for someone on the pic before this i think said bout playing paintball wars inside, well that i think is just disrespect for the entire situation

Now why would you want to restore it? I think you should leave it as it is. But it is bad that ppl would put so much graffiti. I think you should leave it as it is so that it still seems historical

From what I have read the new owner is trying to raise the money to restore this place . I hope that goes through . It would be nice to see the place restored to it's former glory .

THE PLACE HAS BEEN ABANDONED AND IT IS A SHAME TO SEE THE PHYSICAL CONDITION.BUT I THINK IT IS EVEN SADDER TO THINK HOW MANY PEOPLE CAME HERE WITH THE HOPE OF LEAVING CURED AND ENDED UP BEING TAKEN OUT IN A BODY BAG VIA THE DEATH TUNNEL THRU THE BASEMENT.I MEAN JUST THINK ABOUT THAT FOR JUST ONE MINUTE.HORRENDOUS INDEED...
