I was washing some kale in the sink this morning, morosely pondering how pretty the water looked collecting on it and wondering
if it would make a decent picture for today (and thinking hack! hack! boring!!) when I chanced to look out the window.
Color.
Not just a little. A lot. Sprinkled all over.
(well, everywhere I dug a hole for a bulb a couple Novembers ago,
anyway -- freezing my fingers off, thank you very much)
For some reason I thought the first day of spring was today; I didn't realize until yesterday evening that it was, well, yesterday.
Guess I was so busy whining about winter I didn't realize spring had happened.
(It's not that I don't like winter; I just like whining.)
Forget the calendar -- Spring is officially here TODAY.
