Unfinished Business
Day 123

Welcome to the Dark Side...
Brouahaaahaahaa!
<cough, cough>

Dark as night at high noon today and rain off and on this morning.
This isn't a new project; I'm just finishing off one of those things that's been laying around halfway done.
I'll go down shortly and do the next to last gluing.

What is it?
It's supposed to be storage cubbies for a closet with a sloping roof -- 4 cubbies across and tall, with staggered steps.
I cut the wood ages ago (in March) and have been tripping over it ever since. In the meantime I accidentally threw out my plans for it which is not a huge deal as it's not terribly complicated. Well, at least it wasn't when I still had the plans.
I may start varnishing it tonight -- speaking of Labor Day!!!

Very nice. Next time you're in Scotland, you can stay at my house in return for building me some bookcases for my study? Deal!?!?!? ;-)

Definitely a moody photo.

Wow, I'm impressed by your carpentry skills! It may not be complicated to you but I doubt I could manage it. With or without plans. :)

Great job of both the photography & carpentry.

Wow, you got skills! I have several of these unfinished projects myself (yikes). This is quite impressive, Carmen. Maybe we can get a peek when it's all finished!

I'm impressed with your resolution to finish this! And to do it without plans!
Can we get a finished shot?

I told you the dark side was fun..lol
I like the lighting and shadows it brings forth.
But be careful .. there's something lurking in the basement.. i can sense it. Can you feel it, Carmen?
[evil laugh]

Excellent job! I am so impressed. The pictures nice (like the stream of light) but the woodworking is really great.

I think it's upside down!

Love it. Nice and moody. How long has this project been sitting there unfinished?
