These are shavings of copper pipe that I found.
They look as delicate as jewelry to me.
This is about the only shot that presented itself to me this day; I spotted the shavings earlier, and tucked them away for later.

As you may have noticed, I'm about 3 days behind in posting but hope to get caught up today.
The internet is back up, the computer settled down and is once again gnawing contentedly in the corner on its hard drive, and a gentle rain is falling outside.
And the red phone with the flashing light on top is not ringing.
