Marta is right. You have taken a cliche subject and made it expressive by building it around a reflection that has turned the poles to ghostly forms in the water. To make it work even more effectively, changing your vantage point and frame to include a bit less sky and a bit more space devoted watery reflection might have stressed the rubbery poles even more so.
