One of my favorite sand sculptures from the Neptine Festival held in Virginia Beach each year
This did not take first place

It's amazing to me the detail in a fleeting art medium
I am still processing the other pix for a complete gallery of these art pieces

I just love this. Those 2 little elfs sitting on the guys shoulder are AMAZING.

Oh, this IS amazing. I agree. Can't believe this didn't take the big prize.

It is also amazing to me that these artists commit so much time and energy to a fleeting work of this magnitude. Did you ever see the andy goldsworth movie, "rivers and tides" ? It is unbelievable to see.
