20 OCT 04 Jeweled Web color

It was a misty constant rain today
And very breezy
This web kept waving in the breeze so it was hard with the low light to get a good 'natural light' shot
Something was ALWAYS out of focus
So I flashed

I can't decide if I like the B&W or colour better . . .
I'm leaning to the warmth of the colour

Who'd have EVER thought I'd call a spider's web WARM!

the B&W version

Great diamonds! Charlotte must have made this one.

I bet the spider thinks it's very warm and cozy :)

Where's the spider? Where? Where?? WHERE??? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... ;-)
Dominic Kite21-Oct-2004 08:35
I'd go with the colour, just for the rich tones in the wood behind it? Nicely done Pete!
Karen Leaf21-Oct-2004 05:29
Tough call, but this one by a hair.

One more vote for color!

I like this version better. Just glad the spider wasn't at home. I can hardly look at them.

Difficult choice, and both outstanding, but I like the color.

I would have guessed that was an overhead light - the rain drops make it more visible great shot, I like the color it brings out the wood, but also the light

It's amazing how different the color and b&w look. Terrific photo, so difficult to capture. Well done.
Guest 21-Oct-2004 01:54

The black and white one looks spooky! I like the sparkles in this one.
