30 Apr 04.jpg ROBINESQUE ARCHITECTURE

My tribute shot to Robin, I suppose
And as noted in comments . . . to Mr GetsaVote =)

There is a big ol' crafter's venue going on at the Pavillion Convention Center this weekend

I took some shots inside, but the outside looked better to me

Cool. Now you need to get those clear blue Miami skies in Norfolk. ;)
Guest 03-May-2004 13:24
Well done Pete. Is this a new phase for you? Norfolk doesn't have the snazziest skyline, but you should be able to milk it for a few interesting shots.
As the great Robin once told me..."Instead of going out and finding an interesting building, you should go out and find a building and make it look interesting"....or something profound and artsy-fartsy like that.
Guest 03-May-2004 10:42
Wow, very cool! Dizzying heights!
John Buffin03-May-2004 01:49
Very nice tribute to Robin!

Awesome work, love the angle and perspective also. Looks like you had a great day for it.
Carolyn B.02-May-2004 07:01
Great perspective here. Nice!
Guest 02-May-2004 02:17
Great shot - and the sky was cooperating too!
Guest 01-May-2004 21:39
Clever work

It looks a huge building.

Nice prospective

Wild lines, I love it!
robin statfeld01-May-2004 12:41
I LOVE IT!!! And I'm so honored to be "ESQUED" : )
We do tend to rub off on eachother, don't we? Well not literally of course. Hmmm... then again, I did see those PaDers in NY photos LOL!!!

Ahem. Back to the photo. I really like how the stripe is centered at the bottom of the page and then curves up. A very well thought out and executed image!

LOL! @ snootydog! And you're right, Mr"getsaVote" does do things worthy of imitation.
Guest 01-May-2004 07:14
Way Co0L Pete ;D
snootydog01-May-2004 03:31
oh shutup yourself. And next time you tell me to shut up you don't need that disclaimer after it. Have the courage of your convictions Girl.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand... this is a great shot but I would call the style more "robingonebyesque" as it is a cross between the styles of the goddess of architecture as well as mr "gets a vote."
Karen Leaf01-May-2004 03:10
Makes me want to try to scale it. Neat!
Guest 01-May-2004 02:58
Hmmm!! Does Robin know a style of photography has been named for her?? Very nice tribute!
Guest 01-May-2004 02:48
catches my eye... soothing to view - the sweep to the right, and up to the blue sky. nicely done.
David Winge01-May-2004 02:44
Yes, this is sweet, eye catching, beautiful, this is an excellent PaD photo, the only part I don't get is "C'est la mortar", although I do have an idea. I like this photo, it is suitable for framing.
Mike Johnson01-May-2004 02:29
good eye on this one. A shot only a pad'er would appreciate! Well done
Robin Reid01-May-2004 02:29

Great title. Love the angle. Looks like a ship. My mind is still on the Carnival Legend.
