the area I live in takes pride in it's carousels. there are 7 different carousels in the area, and they are all pretty old. in fact, there is a national carousel group that takes a trip to the area every year to ride the carousels. you can ride them for free, if you can figure out when they're open, which has always been my problem. well, today, I went to one of the parks that has a carousel, and it was closed, but some nice people from the parks department opened it up so some visitors from russia could ride it, and, I actually got in to take a few shots (for a change).
