Well, I had about 15 minutes to shoot today...and ended up spending all of it trying to get a shot of this bumble bee, and try out the macro capabilities of this lens. This is the best of the lot...cropped in close.

Wow. I'm a big fan of insect wings (that sounds odd, doesn't it? But they're so delicate and detailed they're gorgeous.) -- you got these just right. I have one picture of a bumble bee attacking my lens...looks like you don't have any trouble with bee diplomacy. Great shot.

Great closeup Michael! Yours works pretty darn well I think. Agree about the purple blue flowers being a great backdrop for the yellow/black of the bee.
