Taken the other day on the street in Seattle and inspired by the beautiful black
and white street photography of my friend Antonis Sarantos, http://www.pbase.com/antonis_sarantos

A small gallery of our Seattle/La Conner trip is at : http://www.pbase.com/cliff0108/seattle_and_laconner_2005

Cliff you did a fantastic job, but actually your color version turned out really incredible as well. I like both, maybe the colorversion in your case slightly better.

Cliff .. outstanding candid shot to begin with, but the conversion to B&W really makes this a stand-out image. Very well done..

I think Antonis inspires many people, I prefer the b&w on this also. Nice to have the choice. Good one, Perfect contrast for the subject.

Excellent tones and composition (I like the color version also). Very well done.

We can all dream of being Antonis - I think producing this in monochrome has been a good move.

Antonis inspires a lot of us.

You did a great job with this one. The lighting, contrast and shadow draw focus to the subject.

Good street shot. I like the hard contrast on this black & white, it fits this image very well, Cliff

Nice to be inspired by others to take shots you'd normally walk by :)

Very good, I think it was better if the captation was taken from the other side for to eliminate the shadows.

I really like this in black and white, Cliff.
