The working river - log sorting on the Fraser

Mission, B.C. from the brdge

In 10 years or less this industry will probably all
be gone replaced by condos, coffee houses and
quaint boutiques on pseudo-cobbled streets
when the waterfront of Mission becomes gentrified.

For now the little boom boats boom and the log sorters
roar.

Always an amazing site to see logging when I was a kid. All of this type things been gone for more years than I care to think of, and the trees were replaced with buildings or pines. Beautiful shot, I'd imagine it's changed quiet a bit in the time since this was taken.

Cliff this shot has a lot of interest and as other have said, tell a story. I found myself looking at all the nooks and crannies of this image. The DOF is excellent as is the color and lighting. My compliments.

I think this industry will be around for a while.
