Titan Arum

Not a very good picture, but this amazing flower was on the cusp of a rare flowering. In fact, it came out later that afternoon, but we missed it!

What a monster! Everything about it's structure says 'stay away', and then I read about it's 'foul stench'. Well, so much for good looks. Jenene

You get more of a sense of scale in this picture than in the ones I took. Shame we missed it... but then we didn't come prepared with clothes pegs did we ?!
