July 17 2007:
Charterhouse

Godalming

A statue of Thomas Sutton stands outside Charterhouse School, one of Britains most expensive schools where a place is likely to cost you about £26,000 per year.

Amongst the many notables who have been educated there are musicians Tony Banks, Anthony Phillips, Mike Rutherford and Peter Gabriel who together formed Genesis.

That lineup was the REAL Genesis...
...before Phil mucked it all up.
:^O

Out of my price range.
I'd have to live under a bridge to afford that.

For that price, they could make a statue of each student ;-)
No wonder why Genesis' music was egghead!

Excellent perspective and works superbly in black and white.
I haven't been to Godalming for years, but it was a great town, if a little out of mt price range!

That doesn't look like Phil Collins either! Great musicians in the lineup there!

LoL at Zak's comment. The statue's tights are a bit Norah Batty.

Gorgeous pov Ray and that sky is so dramatic!
JSWaters17-Jul-2007 18:21
Quite an imposing pair, Ray. The dramatic clouds are the perfect back drop, but out of my league I'm afraid.

Like the choice of angle Ray. Both school building and statue look very imposing in the photo.

Still...26 grand?!

Blimey.
