December 17 2006:
Family

Sorry to disappoint all of you who thought yesterday’s photograph was of some chocolate! Actually taken looking on the head of a mushroom shaped fountain outside our theatre. The building is currently illuminated in pink and this is reflected in the pool of water and the rock type object you can see is actually some discarded chewing gum!

Lovely shadow play ...
great catch, Ray

And the fountain outside the theatre? That's caught us all out before... it's becoming your "joker" card for when you want to send us all into confusion! Well done Ray for both images!

My first thoughts were of the stress of keeping a family, and this looks like one of those seeing red moments. But reading the comments I like the "state of emergency" idea too - in fact that probably works better with the torn down poster.

you have the most amazing eye..v

A very well known scene!!
Great one!!

That red really pushes this shadow scene into a super transformation. This has the appearance of a war scene. AWESOME! V

Excellent storytelling shadowplay, with dramatic red and torn poster. Voted.
(And I'm now disillusioned ;-P)

It feels like they're trying to escaped from some threat - the red screams danger to me here. Great image, Ray. I never thought chocolate yesterday - just Mars! That's my strange brain, I guess ;-)

fantastically magical. v

Great shadow shot with most of the frame filled with salmon pink. The solid person on the left serves to tell the story. Im not so sure about the ripped poster included.

Thats me Chocolate on the brain, is this chocolate oh please?
Great shadows ray love the colour and light!
Naomi 17-Dec-2006 19:37
Interesting image that leaves you wondering what's happening here.
Nicki Thurgar17-Dec-2006 18:45
Oh well that's totally shattered the chocolate illusion then!!!
Great shadow capture on the red wall!
Dan Chusid17-Dec-2006 18:16
Looks like they're all in a hurry to get away from you.
Something you said...?

Great work Ray - always amazed at your ability to get great shots in Woking!
JW17-Dec-2006 17:20
Excellent work Ray! So intriguing - where are they, where are they going?
Zak17-Dec-2006 17:16
great shadowy pic!
Roy Birger Nilsen17-Dec-2006 16:39
Very dramatic shadowplay with great colours, seems like they are fleeing from something.Great shot!:-)
Guest 17-Dec-2006 16:39
I like the way it is full of life - the efforts of pushing the pram up the hill and carrying what looks to be quite a sizeable child too. Hard to beat that red for background.

I agree about the shadow images . . .and I didn't THINK that was chocolate yesterday . . .but had no idea if it was edible or inedible . .and I guess that is very telling on ALL of us at PBase . . .we love chocolate =)
Guest 17-Dec-2006 16:19
Love the combination of shadows and old "poster" (removed) on the wall. Yes, there is a family here... ;-)
Well well seen.
Lee Rudd17-Dec-2006 16:18
