Yes, simplicity is the key of this photo, I think...fantastic job with the light, Ray!

superb and simple - two very strong virtues!

As in "Day of the Triffids"?/.. it does look monsterous.. like it's going to eat through your walls..

nice shot, your tripod wants to let you know that it's a little shaky though :)
Like the diagonal light to dark across the tripod head
Gail Davison10-Jun-2005 21:43
Excellent shot. It has a sad feel to it though - a reject tripod kind of feel ;-)

Reminds me of the Woking Martian! Great take on a common subject!

Seems nobody has realized this is a SP Friday...
At least for now ;-)))

I love the dent/crack as well as that fantastic lighting.
Guest 10-Jun-2005 20:13
I like the lighting, very nice shadows lead the eye into the shot.

Good work Ray. Like it in b&w a lot.

That tripod-like Triffid plant with its animal-like behaviour, desperately slanted towards the wall is not only your masterpiece, but also one of the greatest photos ever made.
(imho)
